FAQ!

Who is eligible to receive help with food or a utility bill?
Seniors fifty five (55) and older who demonstrate an urgent need for either food or help with a utility bill are eligible for assistance. Both require an assessment and completion of EF&S application through Senior Citizens Services Life Net55 clinic.

Assistance with utilities:
Individuals requesting help with their utility bill (gas, electric, water and sewer) must exhaust all other resources and are limited to one month's cost in a 12 month period per family. Additionally, assistance must guarantee additional 30-day service. Copy of past-due bill and metered utility verification form, as well as proof of income, are required for any assistance with utilities.

Assistance with food:
Seniors fifty five (55) and over who demonstrate an urgent need for food and have not received food from us within a 6 month period are eligible for food.
Additionally, only persons 55 and over meeting specific income requirements are eligible for USDA food. Call Anita Mungenast at 473-3510 or e-mail for more information.
