Monthly Health and Wellness Education
Each month we offer up-to-date health and wellness education by specialists in their field. Call 476-7955 or look under the calendar of events on the mobileseniors.org website to find out what seminars are offered each month.
Via! Steppers
Via! Steppers walking program consists of three 4-week sessions. When Via! Steppers turn in their log sheets they qualify for prizes! For more information call 476-7955 or look under the calendar of events.
AHER Program
AHER stands for Adult Health Education & Recreation.
AHER is a program that is sponsored by Via Center in partnership with the Mobile Housing Board.
AHER covers five program sites with in the mobile housing board: Boykin Tower, Emerson Gardens, Central Plaza, Josephine Allen, R.V.Taylor
Monthly activities Include:
Wellness/Blood pressure check, Health Education, Monthly Movie, Scrap Booking, Monthly Outings, Bingo, Ceramics, Fitness

Intergenerational Activities
Adult Health and Development Program (AHDP) senior citizens and college students meet weekly to learn skills and engage in activities that promote lifelong health and physical fitness.
Shared Knowledge through Intergenerational Learning (SKIL) is a program designed in collaboration with G.R.O.W.T.H (Girls Reaching Womanhood through Healing). Seniors have the opportunity to share their experiences, knowledge, and skills with the young women from G.R.O.W.T.H. through recreational and educational activities.
Intergenerational activities are a great way to give back to the community and enhance your well-being. It is the shared knowledge, skills, and experiences among the generations that build and strengthen communities. Come share your wisdom and create friendships through our intergenerational programs. Call our Outreach Director for more details.
Fee Based Services and Products
All proceeds go directly into supporting programs for senior citizens.
Web Based Research and E-mail Access Monday thru Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Members-$1.00 per hour, Non Members $2.00 per hour)
Card Lamination
Members can get Medicare cards laminated at Via! Solutions for .25 cents!
Full page lamination is $2.00. Copies Copies are .10 cents per page.
