Do you accept donated items?
Yes, items to be donated can be accepted at the front desk and donation receipt for your taxes will be given.

Do I have to live in Mobile to be a member?
No, anyone can belong to and utilize the services of our Center.

Do I have to be a member to participate at the Via! Center?
No, the campus is open to anyone wishing to participate in activities. Membership is encouraged, however scholarships are available.

What are the benefits of being a member?
Membership benefits include reduced rates on course fees, receiving the newsletter before the public to get in early on courses and trips, and access to our transportation program.

How do I become a member?
By either coming in or signing up at the front desk or calling and requesting membership information to be sent to your home.

Do you have a newsletter or list of activities that I could receive?
Yes, you can pick one up at the Center, they are available at the front desk or you can get the information off our web site in Via! Center, Calendar of Events section.

Do you charge fees for the activities?
Most classes have a fee in order to cover instructor expense and/or supply cost. However, as a member, fees are generally much lower than non-members fees and often classes are free to members.

Do you offer other services?
There are a great many ways Via! touches the community through services like the Homemaker program, Emergency Food and Shelter, and the Grandfriends program.

What if I get sick while I'm there?
With your membership, you provide us with emergency contact information that can be used when necessary. Via! campus staff makes every effort to assist participants in need.

Can I drop off my family member in daycare as needed?
The Grandfriends program and Via! Services does not accept drop offs. In order to obtain information about the Grandfriends program contact Joan Rommes at 470-5224 or e-mail.
