How to Stay Young the First 100 Years Class

 

Scientists say people are living longer and by the next few decades most people are expected to live beyond their centennial birthdays. Dr. Be Phetsinorath, DC of Chiropractic Works and Via! Arlene F. Mitchell Campus invite you to come and learn "How to Stay Young for the Next 100 Years."

Dr. Phetsinorath will talk about ways to help you live longer better. As we age our bodies will wear down and our mobility will diminish; Dr. Phetsinorath will teach you the steps on how to increase your mobility so that you can enjoy your longevity.

The Via! Services Food Pantry Needs Your Help!

Your help is always greatly appreciated…so remember next time you are shopping to add a couple of items to your basket for the food pantry.  It’s amazing what we can accomplish together. Drop off any donations at the Arlene F. Mitchell campus Information Desk.

Needed items include: Oatmeal, rice, grits, instant potatoes, small cans of vegetables, meat/vegetable combinations; meat (canned turkey, chicken, fish) fruits, puddings; evaporated milk, coffee, tea, sugar, coffee creamer; cocoa, peanut butter (smooth), salt, soups, cooking oil, small containers of fruit juices, ketchup, mayonnaise, toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, shampoos, conditioner,toothpaste/toothbrushes, washcloths, small towels, cotton socks, pet food.

A service for older adults in crisis,

is preparing for the hurricane season and in need of non perishable food items, toiletries and paper products, can openers, flashlights, and small battery operated radios.

There is now a self-monitoring BloodPressure Machine at the Arlene F. Mitchell Campus that is calibrated and checked for accuracy. Stop by anytime and check you blood pressure.  For questions or concerns see Joan Rommes, RN or call 470-5224.
