Via! is a private non-profit organization.
Funding is received through United Way, City of Mobile,
Mobile County Commission, Mobile Housing Board, South Alabama Regional Planning Commission-Area
Agency on Aging, community support, and individual contributions.
United Way of Southwest Alabama
Via! has been a member agency of the United
Way since 1971. The United Way provides important
funding for programs and new services.
City of Mobile
The City of Mobile has provided funding for operations since 1996.
The City has a proud history serving the older population of
Mobile.
Mobile Housing Board
The Mobile Housing Board supports the operation of the Via Center and Via! Solutions outreach and intergenerational programs in public housing neighborhoods in Mobile.
South Alabama Regional Planning Commission –
Area Agency on Aging
Via! is a primary
contractor with the AAA to provide services for older adults in Mobile County. The
role of the AAA is to provide regional planning for services and
to provide funds through contracts for services. Via! has been a part of this service delivery system for over
35 years. Funds are provided by Federal, State and local Sources.
Corporate and Community Support
Corporate membership and business sponsorships are needed for special
events, newsletters, and monthly dances. For more information
